Terms of Service

WeddingRef (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”) is a private referral network exclusively for professional wedding photographers and filmmakers. We connect verified professionals so they can pass on bookings they cannot fulfil to trusted colleagues.

WeddingRef is operated by Braulio Lara, based in the Czech Republic, and is subject to Czech and European Union law.

You must be a working professional wedding photographer or filmmaker to use WeddingRef. By registering you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You operate as a professional photographer or filmmaker and have provided or plan to provide wedding photography or filming services for compensation.
• The verification link or handle you submit at registration accurately represents your work.

We review every application manually. We reserve the right to reject or suspend any account at our discretion, including accounts where the professional status cannot be confirmed.

After submitting your registration you will receive an email verification link. Click the link to verify your email address and activate your account immediately. Once verified, you can access the referral board and your introductory token allocation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where professional status cannot be confirmed after activation.

WeddingRef uses a token system to unlock couple contact details posted in referrals.

• Earning tokens: You receive tokens when you sign up, when you post referrals that receive unlocks, and through future promotional programmes.
• Purchasing tokens: You may purchase additional token packs via our payment processor (Stripe). All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable VAT.
• Non-refundable: Tokens are digital goods delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing a purchase you acknowledge that your right to withdraw under EU consumer regulations does not apply to digital content once delivered and consumed. Tokens are non-transferable and carry no monetary value outside the Platform.
• Free listings: Referrals of type “Second Shooter / Filmmaker” are visible and their contact details are accessible at no token cost to verified logged-in members.

A referral is a listing posted by a verified member indicating that they have a couple seeking photography or filming services that they cannot personally fulfil. Posting a referral does not create any contractual obligation between WeddingRef and you or the couple.

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the contact details and event information you post.
• You must have the couple's informed consent before posting their personal data on the Platform. By posting a referral you warrant that this consent exists.
• Referral listings expire and are automatically deleted 30 days after the listed event date.
• WeddingRef is not a party to any contract formed between a photographer and a couple as a result of a referral.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fabricated referrals.
• Use the contact information of couples for any purpose other than responding to the specific referral for which it was unlocked.
• Share, sell, or otherwise transfer couple contact details obtained through the Platform to any third party.
• Attempt to circumvent the token system or gain access to contact details without proper authorisation.
• Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access the Platform.
• Impersonate another photographer or submit false verification information.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund of any tokens.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. WeddingRef does not store your full card details. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

All purchases are final once tokens are delivered. If you experience a technical failure preventing token delivery, contact us at hello@weddingref.com within 48 hours.

All content on the Platform not uploaded by users (design, code, copy, logos) is owned by WeddingRef and may not be reproduced without written permission. By uploading photos to your profile you grant WeddingRef a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on the Platform.

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a member posting referrals, you act as a data controller for the couple's personal data and are responsible for ensuring a lawful basis for processing.

WeddingRef is a platform that connects professionals. We do not guarantee the quality, availability, or suitability of any photographer listed. We are not liable for any losses arising from a booking or referral arrangement made through the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid for tokens in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, unused tokens are forfeited and are non-refundable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under EU law.
